Supporting Environmental Sustainability in Our Community

The Environmental Sustainability Committee at Box Hill Central Rotary is proud to support local initiatives that promote environmental awareness and community wellbeing. One such partnership is with Strathdon House, where our members have joined forces with staff and local volunteers to create accessible gardening opportunities.

Thanks to funding from our club, we were able to provide:

  • 4 raised planter box kits

  • 4 side tables

  • 4 self-watering kits

  • 1 cold frame

These raised garden beds are specially designed to be wheelchair-accessible and are now being used to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables—empowering more people to enjoy the benefits of gardening.

This project reflects our commitment to both environmental sustainability and inclusive community engagement. If you're passionate about making a difference and enjoy hands-on community work, we welcome you to join us.
