Volunteering with Friends is a group of community members whose common goal is to contribute to society locally, nationally and abroad, in partnership with Rotary International. Of special interest, is the needs of women and children, who experience disadvantage because of who they are, or where they live. 

 

Our aim is to provide support and where possible partner with other charitable organisations who share our goals and aspirations, to improve the lives of women and children, while expanding our friendships and building greater awareness of the needs of others.

 

We are Rotarians and all members of the Rotary Club of Box Hill Central. We have autonomy to decide where and when we meet and about the projects we take on. We all lead busy lives and do what we can to be involved so we do not have specific time commitment or requirements of members. We pay an annual membership subscription to Rotary International which provides insurance for our activities and covers administration costs so that fundraising goes to our chosen charities.  More information here.

 

We meet monthly, usually on a Thursday via zoom or at a local eatery. Contact us for details of our next meeting.

 

Action Days:
As well as the monthly meetings we will generally have at least one day to have hands on working in a variety of ways. Most often is our stall at the Heide Makers Market where you can find us each month
