Responding to a request from D9790 Youth Exchange Committee, RCBHC board has agreed to co-sponsor Inara Leeuwenburgh. Inara is a Rotary Youth Exchange outbound student to Finland, January - December 2025. An MOU hs been signed with the RC Moreland D9790.
Inara and her parents Teresa and Pieter are keen to engage with our club to learn more about Rotary. The family live in Box Hill Nth and Inara attends Koonung Secondary College. (D9815 is yet to complete registration for Rotary Youth Exchange, which is why Inara has sought sponsorship from D9790.)
Please make the family most welcome as they attend our events. Thanks Malcolm/Tony for your efforts building this connection.
Since 2023, the Rotary Districts of Victoria have held the Rotary Emergency Services Awards (RESCA). These awards are designed to recognise our emergency service personnel who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and reflected
the Rotary motto of "Service above Self".
It is now proposed to initiate a Multi district project titled 'Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards'. This project would be in line with current RI Code of Policies, similar to the other Multi district programs such as ROMAC, RAWCS, ARH etc.
To have the Multi District RESCA project approved it requires the approval of two-thirds of the Clubs in the relevant state Districts including our own D9815. All current District Governors in each of the States have agreed to the joint activity. Each state under the multi-district project would hold their own awards.
Our club president must vote by Nov 22. This will be discussed Wednesday.
Bookings close Wednesday for our DG Partners Project Gala Ball.
Please advise any changes/swaps or regular inabilities to Greg Cooper greg@cnre.com.au. Thank for your volunteer service.
