It was a privilege to have Dr Muhammad Quamruzzaman, a senior Bangladeshi surgeon at our recent meeting.

He has completed 13,000 cleft & palate surgeries, mostly for Operation Cleft Australia with DCKH for disadvantaged Bangladeshi children.

2026 National Youth Science Year 12 participant Ishan Gadkari shared at our meeting about his 9 day January Brisbane experience. Ishan has also been selected to participate in the 2027 Student Staff Leadership Program.

Fun and fellowship was had while feeding the community at Rotary Whitehorse Farmers Market.  Held on the second Sunday monthly at Whitehorse Council for 20 years, it is managed by a collaboration of local Rotary & Rotaract clubs. Funds raised are used to support local charity initiatives.  Visit WFM on August 9, 7:30-12:30pm at Whitehorse City Council for fresh produce and more. 

Four improved toilets now completed with three more pending, improving the health, safety and dignity for tea plantation workers and their families near Hatton, Sri Lanka, and dignified bathing area commenced.  Read Mukti Australia's update "Building a Better Future Together".
